What is “Ben the Shooter!”?
It is a game in which players throw fabric poop into a giant toilet. Created as an original game by the 1000 Pieces Project, it appeared at events including the Senbayashi Festival and the Kyokaido Shopping Street summer festival.

The story behind “Ben the Shooter!”

The idea began when members of the 1000 Pieces Project wondered whether a poop-themed game would be fun for children.

Everyone brought old fabric and stuffed it with newspaper, sewing each poop shape by hand. When the sewing became a little too much work, a glue gun from the Daiso in Senbayashi Shopping Street helped finish the job!

They worked over a homemade curry lunch. The giraffe on the television also caught their attention: does it really sleep standing up?

Ready for their photo opportunity — the colourful poop pieces were complete!

Next came the giant toilet, also designed by a member of the 1000 Pieces Project.

This is what it looked like inside. The members met in the evenings to build it.

They looked almost like professional toilet makers, carefully shaping the curves inside.

And it was finished! After putting their heads together, the members came up with the name “Ben the Shooter!”. That was how the game came to life.
